General Rink Questions

Q:   How do we buy skate tickets for General Admission?

A: General Admission skating is on a first come, first serve basis. You may purchase tickets for General Admission skating and rentals at our Skate House. If there is a line, everyone in your party must wait in line together to purchase tickets. Our peak holiday season is from Friday November 7th through January 6th and during this time period, lines are likely to be long for all sessions. During the busy holiday season you should anticipate an approximate one hour wait. Please note that you do wait outdoors. We recommend coming for our early 8:30 am – 10 am session if possible - lines are typically shortest first thing in the morning. To avoid the lines completely, you may now make reservations to skate through our VIP SKATE or FIRST SKATE packages.

Q:   When is the Rink open?

A: We are open daily for 90 minute sessions. 8:30-10:00AM, 10:30AM-12:00PM, 12:30-2:00PM, 2:30-4:00PM, 4:30-6:00PM, 6:30-8:00PM, 8:30-10:00PM, and 10:30PM-12:00AM.

Q:   I just want to skate - I don't want to purchase any special packages. How can I do this?

A: General Admission skating is always available, whenever the rink is open to the public. No reservations are necessary for General Admission and in fact, no reservations are accepted - all General Admission skating is on a first-come, first-served basis. You may purchase tickets for General Admission skating and rentals at our Skate House.

Q:   The date that I want to reserve says "N/A"! Help!

A: For a variety of reasons, not all packages are available on all dates. Some of our packages are not offered at all during the busy month of December. All of the calendars are updated through the end of 2016, so if your desired date is unavailable, please consider a different package, or buy a same-day General Admission ticket at the Skate House. General Admission is always available, whenever the Rink is open to the public.

Q:   Who can I contact for press and media inquiries?

Q:   Can I bring my own skates?

A: Yes, but speed skates are not allowed.

Q:   Do your skates run big or small?

A: Skates are whole sizes only, true to size. Just let us know your regular shoe size, we know how to determine the proper skate sizes.

Q:   Do you have group rates?

A: We do have group rates if you can join us anytime between opening day and November 6th or from January 7th through the day we close the rink for the season.

We do NOT offer group rates in our peak holiday season: Friday November 7th through January 6th.

Rates for group skating are: Adults: $15, Children: $10, Skate Rental: $8. This requires a 15 person minimum. Please contact us at therink@patinagroup.com to make your booking.

Q:   Do you have Skating Lessons?

A: Private lesson are available at a cost of $50.00 for 30 minutes of private instructions plus the full session of skating. Skate rentals, if needed, are an additional $12.00 charge. Reservations are recommended. Please email therink@patinagroup.com to reserve a skating lesson.

Q:   Is there an age limit to skate? Are toddlers free?

A: No, there is no age restrictions for skating. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free for children under 4, but all skate rentals must be paid for, regardless of age.

Q:   Do you have skates for small kids? What is the biggest size?

A: Yes, our smallest skate is a baby 6 and our largest skate is men's 14.

Q:   Can you get a season pass for the rink?

A: Yes, you can. (Season Pass with a locker $450, Season Pass Only $275, Locker Rental Only $175). To become a session pass holder, please contact us at therink@patinagroup.com.

Q:   Can we have our child’s birthday party at the rink?

A: Yes, you can. We love birthday parties! Our birthday packages are available from opening day in October through November 6th and again, from January 7th until the day we close the rink for the season. We do not have these packages available during our peak holiday season from November 7th through January 6th.

Q:   What if it rains or snows?

A: The Rink is open during all inclement weather conditions.

Q:   I'm interested in a package that includes dining but I have a dietary restriction. What should I do?

A: Please contact us via e-mail before booking and let us know – we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Q:   What is considered a senior citizen?

A: Senior citizens are 65 and up.

Q:   Do you have figure skates and/or hockey skates?

A: We only have figure skates.

Q:   What happens is there are only 15 minutes left in the skate session I purchased tickets for?

A: You can continue to skate in the next session. Just remember to keep your ticket and do not return your rented skates.

Q:   Do you give a military or student discount?

A: We do not offer student discounts, but we are proud to offer military discounts to both active United States armed service personnel and all United States veterans. The discount is 15% for both General Admission skating and skate rentals. Please have your military ID and available for our cashiers when you are here purchasing tickets. ID must be presented and valid to receive the 15% discount.

Q:   How can I purchase a gift card for The Rink?

A: Gift cards for The Rink are available for purchase here Please note that at this time, we are only able to accept The Rink gift cards in person at the Skate House. We cannot accept gift cards as payment for reserved packages on this web site. If you would like to give a reserved package as a gift, simply select "Give this as a gift" when you are checking out. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working on integrating our gifting systems.
